Based in Miami, FL.

Travel: Up to 10 percent to Latin America (Latam) and domestic; will include overnight and weekend travel.

Reports to: Director, Strategic Partnerships in Washington, D.C.

Work environment: You would join a lean team with small offices in NYC, Miami, and Washington DC. Our code is casual and professional.

Hours: When you do what you love, it is rarely 9 - 5. We follow the 40-hour week, observe U.S. Federal holidays. Since we work with our Latam-based colleagues we are on their time, too. There´s always crunch time here and there.

The position


TECHO seeks a Corporate Partnerships Coordinator who will bring to bear her/his experience in the areas of corporate social responsibility, matching gifts, cause marketing and other types of corporate support for NGOs and develop new resources and relationships for TECHO?s international development and emergency response.


The coordinator will perform a vital role in two fronts. First, she/he will aptly fulfill their own administrative duties, which includes but is not limited to prospecting, budgeting, and Salesforce upkeep. Second, she/he will contribute to TECHO?s growth as a direct result of their fundraising and resource development impeccable and creative approach. In this position you will interact with Fortune 500 companies and/or high network individuals so you should feel comfortable and be highly effective in this environment. You will also cold call to schedule meetings with prospective donors, and step in to support your colleagues? projects, if needed.

Responsabilidades

Our ideal candidate will hit the floor running in three areas:

1.   Pipeline development and grant management

2.   Corporate resource development: matching gifts and cause-related marketing

3.   Coordination and collaboration with HQ in Chile and other countries in Latam.

 

1.   Pipeline Development and grant management

  • Develop and implement a written, time-based and revenue-based plan for research, identification, cultivation, proposal development, solicitation and stewardship of corporate grants.
  • Identify CSR-connected growth areas for TECHO.
  • Implement innovation in stewardship. Your creativity is welcome.
  • Write high-quality funding proposals and donor reports. Pay meticulous attention to detail and be disciplined with priorities.
  • Continue to raise our profile by networking at appropriate events and securing new introductions.
  • Manage the Team Director?s Calendar as it relates to Corporate Partnerships.
  • Interface with F&A judiciously for record-keeping.

 

2.   Corporate resource development: matching gifts, and cause-related marketing

  • Demonstrate understanding and judgement for the vetting of new partners.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase TECHO?s corporate volunteering offering.
  • Identify and secure at least 5 matching gifts programs per year.
  • Identify and secure at least 2 cause marketing deals per year.
  • Register TECHO in the U.S. Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for 2019.

 

3.   Coordination and collaboration with HQ in Chile and other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • The foundation of our work is the community development and emergency housing massive program we run in 19 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Coordination with our HQ in Chile is part of this position?s DNA. The proactive collaboration and outreach to our TECHO colleagues in the country offices is our DNA too.
  • Assess, improve, and sustain current collaboration and communications mechanisms between our office and the rest of the programs.

Requisitos

  • Are fully bilingual in Spanish and English. This is a requirement.
  • PLUS if you have lived in Latin America and understand the cultures.

  • Follow an ethical code by which you are highly productive with a lot of independence.

Job Requirements

  • Education: BA in Communications, Business, International Relations, or related field preferred. MBAs, welcome.
  • Understanding of the international development ecosystem and of private development assistance.
  • Tech skills: Microsoft suite and social media are the minimum requirements. Salesforce will give you an edge.
  • Proven experience in grant management. This includes meeting deadlines.
  • An effective communicator who can move potential donors towards our mission.
  • Excellent coordination skills, and intra/inter-team diplomacy.

 

Experiencia

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional work experience.
